This is our very first baby outfit of the day post #OOTD how exciting!! I decided to style him very       casual and comfortable for this cold fall day. No fuss with tight jeans and a million layers...even though he doesn't look too impressed in the picture above! Beanies are always a battle with Maddox he likes to rep his bald head loud & proud. He has so much personality already and is always baby babbling and laughing at the most random of things like my sneezes or if the dog walks by. He is almost four months and I can't believe how fast these months are flying by. In the beginning I was so nervous to dress him and carry him, I didn't want to make any mistakes. When his daddy went back to work one week after getting home from the hospital I was scared to be alone with him! That seems so silly when I think back about it. Everyday gets easier and easier until it becomes so routine you don't think twice about it anymore. You become a pro and realize you were meant to do this. I truly believe in fate. And love. He brings me so much joy and love, I can't imagine my life without him now that he is here! He will always be my baby.

paleo pumpkin smoothie

Finally got around to posting the recipe for this! It's hard to find the time when you are busy being a full-time momma & committed to a healthy lifestyle of eating right and working out. But I wouldn't change it for the world AND nothing is impossible... not for this girl! This yummy smoothie is in the spirit of October, the best month of the year! It is gluten & dairy free so not guilt about indulging. I've been using pumpkin in my everyday recipes just to shake things up & enjoy it while it lasts. October always comes and goes so quickly. Can you believe Halloween is in a week! I can't..hope you love this just as much as I do!

1/2 cup canned pumpkin

1 cup plain unsweetened almond milk

1/2 frozen banana (this makes it really creamy)

1 tsp. of organic honey or organic maple syrup

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1/2 tsp. of pumpkin spice or cinnamon (your preference)

Blend it all together & VOILA, c'est fini
*add 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder if you want to make this your post-workout snack

seasons will change but not my love

My sister Emma & I decided to take Maddox for a nature walk down by the water because the fall weather was nothing short of perfect. This has always been my favourite time of year, leggings..knit sweaters..scarves..beanies..comfy uggs..hot tea..thanksgiving dinner..halloween decorating & costumes..pumpkin candles and soaps..what is not to love! I'm trying not to wish these first months away but I couldn't help but wonder about this time next year. Maddox will be able to walk, play, and roll in leave piles and just thinking about it has me smiling right now. Well check out our pictures from yesterday!

comin' to ya every month

1. Fisherprice Snugabunny Swing: Babies either love it or hate it & luckily Maddox has loved it since we brought him home. Now he takes two hour naps everyday but only if I put him in this swing #magic


2. Salt City Emporium Bib-dana: This is by far my favourite baby Etsy shop, every piece is unique and I'm just loving the tribal baby trend right now! Maddox has just started drooling all over the place so these are coming in handy. Bonus: they make the perfect accessory


3. Live Clean Baby Products: Wow, I've tried almost every brand(review coming in the future) and this is by far my current fave. It it plant based but doesn't smell bad like those other organic lines. I want my baby to smell like a baby, not a caveman. I've even been wearing it myself!


4. Boon Grass Bottle Drying Rack: This is definitely a bit of a splurge but I was lucky to get it as a baby shower gift from my cousin Misty! It isn't just super trendy but very easy to clean. My only wish is that it was a little bigger since I have so many bottles to store
