paleo pumpkin smoothie



Finally got around to posting the recipe for this! It's hard to find the time when you are busy being a full-time momma & committed to a healthy lifestyle of eating right and working out. But I wouldn't change it for the world AND nothing is impossible... not for this girl! This yummy smoothie is in the spirit of October, the best month of the year! It is gluten & dairy free so not guilt about indulging. I've been using pumpkin in my everyday recipes just to shake things up & enjoy it while it lasts. October always comes and goes so quickly. Can you believe Halloween is in a week! I can't..hope you love this just as much as I do!

1/2 cup canned pumpkin

1 cup plain unsweetened almond milk

1/2 frozen banana (this makes it really creamy)

1 tsp. of organic honey or organic maple syrup

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1/2 tsp. of pumpkin spice or cinnamon (your preference)

Blend it all together & VOILA, c'est fini
*add 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder if you want to make this your post-workout snack
